What hearing aids can we offer for a patient?
The hearing aids should be well positioned and the hearing behavior should be supervised to guarantee a good functioning. When constant modifications are conducted on the ears of the child, the hearing aids should adapt easily. For young children, we recommend using an ear contour because it is easier to manipulate and its removal from the cerumen is more effective. During the child's growth, it is important to make a new nozzle which shouldn't be so expensive. Hearing aids are available in cheerful colors which most children prefer.
Another option is the placing a hearing aid inside the ear canal, which is completely invisible.
The decision of which hearing aid is used is made by your physician.
What does the hearing aid bring to a child?
A hearing aid may, for example, help a child who suffers from hearing difficulties to develop a normal language and to take part in school and social life. It may help the child to participate with his friends who hear normally. If the child suffers from deep deafness, the public services offer counseling, special teaching, and courses that may facilitate the life of the child as well as his parents. All the children who suffer from hearing difficulties have problems in differentiating the sound and the noise, and this is particularly difficult for the children given that their language is not totally developed and they don't hear. In this case, a modern hearing aid is a capital help given that it reduces considerably the noise and gives the importance of the word. If your child suffers from hearing difficulties in both ears, he should have a hearing aid device in both ears. Such hearing aid device is called "ear device" and facilitates the comprehension of the word in the sound environment.
